Free Online Metronome for Ukulele
A metronome is essential for developing solid rhythm and timing on the ukulele. Whether you're practicing strumming patterns, fingerpicking, or learning a new song, keeping a steady beat helps build muscle memory and musical confidence.
Getting Started
Set your tempo using the slider or tap tempo button. Begin slowly (60-80 BPM) and gradually increase speed as you become comfortable. Use the accent on beat 1 to keep track of your measures.
Subdivisions
Subdivisions help you practice eighth notes, triplets, and sixteenth notes. The swing control adds a shuffle feel, perfect for jazz and blues ukulele styles.
Time Signatures
Most ukulele songs are in 4/4 time, but you'll encounter 3/4 (waltz), 6/4, and other signatures. Practice with different time signatures to expand your versatility as a player.
Practice With the Metronome
The metronome is most powerful when combined with the rest of your practice routine. Pick a chord progression from the chord library — try switching between C, G, Am, and F on each beat. Run through scale patterns at a comfortable tempo, then bump it up by 5 BPM once it feels easy. And make sure you're in tune before each session with the ukulele tuner.
